First Solid Lipstick

Ingredients: He created a mold for medicated makeup products and would eventually add a tint to it, creating the first ever solid lipstick. He also pressed and rolled perfume into the molds, which to me makes him the pioneer for scented makeup as well!

Lipstick through the Ages
Over the centuries, lipstick was not met without some battles. Time and time again there have been societal debates regarding the pureness of people who adorned their lips with bright attention grabbing colors. At times it was seen as regal and at others it was deemed satanic or seen as an attribute of promiscuity and prostitution. Religion tended to dictate much of early society's habits, including outward appearance. Luckily, in modern America and abroad, lipstick is now simply an essential that people can use or not use based on their personal preferences.

Lipstick in My Life
As a teacher, lipstick is an essential for WAKING UP MY FACE! I can do all the concealer, blush, bronzer, and mascara I WANT but nothing on the lips? Hey Corpse Kween. Real tea, I have long known someone whose lips look forever dull, spending all that time beating your face and then nothing on the lips? Blasphemy!

To the Girls Who do not Wear a Lippie
I will never understand you Ms.Anti lipstick/anti lipanything. What's goin on? Are you actually an alien, and your lips aren't real and you like take them on and off every night as you slip into your lizard suit before night night? Do you not have any feeling on your lips, therefore you assume you do not need to acknowledge them? Is this a stance like anti shaving? I'm totally cool with that, BUT if that's the case then why beat your whole face and leave lips high and dry? Do you hate losing your lippie while eating? Invest in a lip primer silly!!! WHY DO YOU DO THIS. STAHP.

HELLO/GOODBYE/HELLO
Anyways, I will break down my favorite lippies in the next post! For now, I hope ya'll learned somethin! BTW I never thought i'd write in here again. I was attending college full time while doing this blog and i chose school over this. However, with my historical posts receiving so much love (specifically my Chola History Lesson), and with the CORONAVIRUS dominating life in 2020, I have decided to come back to this fun little corner of the internet. MY internet. You in my world nowwwww wahahaha. 32 looks good on me.

LOVE,
GAB
